Community Service Work Opportunities

The Local Probation Office is always in need of Community Service Projects for non-violent offenders assigned to perform uncompensated community service work as part of the court assigned sentence. If you are a non-profit organization or know of a non-profit organization in need of assistance, please contact the Local Probation Coordinator at 540-665-5633, extension 21.

Work Release Employment Opportunities Needed

If you are an area employer and need employees who will show up on time and provide an honest days work, please contact the Detention Center’s Work Release Coordinator at 540-665-6380.

The Detention Center’s Work Release participants enjoy a great reputation for their dependability and hard work. These are non-violent offenders that are assigned to the program by the courts or the Detention Center.

Volunteers Needed

The Detention Center operates a number of programs to assist offenders in developing the values and habits that can help them from re-offending. In addition to those religious and spirtual programs, we need volunteers to assist in our education and vocational training programs. If you have free time and the will to help prepare our folks make a better transition back into our community, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator at 540-665-6380.
